Another Planning Blog…

I don’t like this new symbol thing – I love Sony Ericsson phones, so I hope I will. But, right now, it just strikes me as misguided. There was the whole BBH thing (they resigned the account over it), which may have soured me. I don’t think that’s the problem, though.

I think it’s just because it’s pointless – I don’t think the Sony Ericsson badge is a heart, nor close to it, nor relevant as a replacement symbol. That they connect me is fine – I get it – I just don’t see what it does in communications that gets me involved, makes me smile, or makes me want to see it again.

Maybe Saatchi & Saatchi can turn it around? Make it great?

I hope so.
Right now I’m disappointed – I’ll probably unsubscribe from the mailing list.
Which I was on despite not having a Sony Ericsson phone. I probably would have got one next time around.
