Joost ad…

No doubt you’ve seen this, but just in case, here’s the new Joost TV ad… click here to see it on YouTube…

What a nice simple little film – and I like the old guy – I feel like ads default to young people too often when it’s new technology – like new technology has to be some uber-young, falsely hip thing that pretends to be anti-aging… or something.

Meanwhile, I wish they’d release Joost for Mac (NOT Intel) – some of us old-timers out here just don’t have a new MacBook Pro, much as we wish did!
Then I could actually spend more time playing around with it. From what I’ve seen so far, Joost looks like a real contender, but it needs better content still. However, that was over a month ago, and so may be a rather out of date opinion!

    Joost is amazing, perhaps the truest most interesting internet/TV attempt.

    Near HD quality full screen professionally produced TV…but also all the interactivity and community of the internet.

    That’s something promised by many (remember WebTV or MSN TV…lame!) but I think delivered by Joost.

    Launching very soon, it’ll run content from across Viacom and announced last week across CBS properties too (like Showtime). Expect a lot of “Long Tail” content too.

    wow, praise indeed from Hashim. I wonder if he works for Joost? i think it could be cool, but all this hype doesnt help. it’s not near HD, and you don’t get to create a community, by just saying you want one.
