True, but also worth thinking about who thought of it first – both Honda and Guinness deserve a mention. That notwithstanding, here’s to a magnificent version of the same thought:

This is beautiful – our head of TV sent it around, to show the genius of Ringan Ledwidge… and it’s worth watching – think of it as a “run up to Easter Weekend treat”…

Roni Brunn sent me this link – it’s a plug for her band really, but there’s also a lot of fun to be had spotting the ads she’s mashed up on this video (41 in total, if you want to guess all of them!). If you want to check her music and her blog out, then you can go here…

The website for One Giant Leap over at “What about me?” just gets better – footage from the series as well as tracks – they just need to release the album now and all will be well in the world… at least for a bit!

Steve Jobs has openly published a manifesto piece on music rights for the world to read.

And, it’s by far the smartest move played in a while… he’s effectively (and very persuasively) thrown the question back to the record labels.

Worth reading to know more about Apple’s position on music and DRM, but also because it’s such a well-written argument. Passionate, but rigidly persuasive.

Personally, I think he’s right.
Open up DRM and make it a free for all.
The people who are downloading music without paying are doing it anyway.
Maybe you could even cut the cost of the music if you didn’t have to invest in DRM?

However, while they’re changing things, it’s high time the quality improved.
Buy a track on iTunes and a CD – listen to both… you’ll find the download is noticeably inferior.
At least, IMHO!

So, full support to Apple.
But give us better quality!

“Sam’s Town” (The Killers)

This is so good. I’ll admit that I normally find 3/4 tracks on an album and start to ignore the rest quickly, but this one is just good from start to end.

Probably the best album released since Bloc Party.
